Ouray Park Irrigation Company's water comes from a variety of sources, including:

   -Storage in high mountain lakes

   -Reservoirs

   -Green River

High Mountain Lakes

Ouray Park has special use permits through the Forest Service for Cliff Lake and Whiterocks reservoirs. Water is collected during the winter months for use during the irrigation season.

Reservoirs

Cottonwood, Brough, and Pelican Lake are all integral parts of the Ouray Park Infrastructure. Pipelines connect the reservoirs to allow for equal distribution for shareholders all along the system.

Green River

Shareholder's who have invested into the project have access to Green River water throughout the irrigation system. This water acts as an insurance during especially dry years.
